Oddset is a Swedish betting brand and the main sponsor for the Swedish ice hockey team during the World Championships. The brief was to create a campaign for the 2019 tournament that could break through the clutter to increase sales, strengthen the connection to Swedish sport, and heighten the perception of Oddset as a modern and playful betting brand. The target group were 24-54 year old men.
With the help of advanced 3D and voice technology, we created a virtual copy of the Swedish hockey teams head coach Rikard Grönborg. The clone was the first virtual sports anchor in the world. He reported around the clock during the whole Ice Hockey World Championships. Using artificial intelligence and statistics the clone learned to make its own conclusions and predictions. Rikards motion patterns and voice was analyzed to create a virtual clone that sounds, looks, and moves like the original. And the result speaks for itself.
